The York Rite of Freemasonry

Review by M. Kent Brinkley, P.M. on 4/5/2012

This is a great little, information-packed booklet on speculative, York Rite Masonry. It provides a comprehensive, topically-related, overview of the history and evolution of our Craft, along with explanations of the various concordant bodies that make up the bulk of what should really be called the "American" (or so-called, "York") Rite. Although this title would be helpful for anyone to read to learn more about basic Freemasonry, I would highly recommend this little booklet specifically as a good introduction to be read by all Entered Apprentice and Fellowcraft Masons, in particular. for those new Brothers, this book will provide lots of interesting facts and details that will further pique their interest in their fraternity, and will hopefully encourage them to want to read and learn even more. Moreover, the very low, affordable, cost of this booklet makes it an excellent candidate as a gift item to be given to EAs upon their initiation into a Lodge. A highly interesting booklet!
